Southeastern is offering customers the chance to explore popular destinations like Hastings for just £10 return which should provide a welcome boost to tourism in the area as a whole.
The promotion aims to boost local tourism by encouraging visitors from London and beyond to take advantage of cut-price travel to Hastings. It also highlights some of the great attractions on offer, including Hastings Folk Festival, the Jerwood Gallery featuring Ansel Krut Verbatim, the Blue Reef Aquarium and, of course, the beach.
The special £10 fare is available at www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/tenpounds and applies for passengers travelling from any London terminal to the town.
It covers travel on off peak services from the capital, departing after 09.00 on weekdays and any-time at weekends, from now until 26 May 2014.
Michelle Ulyatt, customer relations manager for Southeastern, said: “Hastings is a great coastal destination and we’re keen to encourage visitors to take a look at its attractions during the spring and summer months. This offer is just the latest in a series of special deals that we have planned for passengers over the coming months and we’re delighted to be able to do our bit for local tourism.”
The company has further offers lined up during the summer that will include travel from East Sussex into London destinations so could save local businesses money if travelling to meetings off-peak.
