After a plethora of awards last year the Carr Taylor Vineyards in Westfield, Hastings has added another trophy to its growing number.
This award, for Viticulture (that’s grape growing to me and you) follows on from awards for Tourism, Business and Sparkling Wine Production.
Director Linda Carr Taylor said after the prestigious awards ceremony in the Grand Connaught Rooms, London; ‘Forty years ago everyone laughed when we ploughed up all our vegetables and planted the vines, but all the hard work and trials have been worthwhile. We were the first English Vineyards to exhibit in Paris, and we continually prove we can match anything the French can offer during expert wine-tastings.
But don’t take Linda’s word for it; the Carr Taylor Vineyard in Westfield is open every day from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs for free wine-tasting.
