The team – Helen Munday, Rachael White, Annette Fry, Josh Hayler, Joe Johnson, Laurence Glaze and trainer Hannah Hayler, will be pounding the pavements of Marshall-Tufflex’s home town on March 22 to raise cash for Demelza House Children’s Hospice.
Experienced runner Hannah, who is also tackling the London Marathon in April, has been training the team since September. She said: “Everyone has been training really hard and putting in lots of time and effort, often on dark, cold and rainy evenings. The training is not only raising money for a good cause and improving staff morale but has also given some of the team the running bug!”
The Marshall Tuff Legs team includes very experienced runners (Hannah with several marathons and half marathons under her belt) to those who have never run before and lots of levels in between. Ages range from teenage to mid forties (ish!) and represent different departments of the cable and energy management manufacturer. Unfortunately three members of the original squad (Natalie, Gareth and Craig) are unable to run on the day but will be out supporting their colleagues.
