The Own Grown Challenge has been hugely successful, and is on track to achieve its target of 1,066 pledges to help a young person into work, by December if not sooner.
To celebrate this, and to recognise the achievements of individual firms and young people, the Own Grown Partners are holding an Awards and Celebration event at Sussex Coast College, Station Plaza, at 6.30pm on 14th November.
This free event includes a drink, canapés, speakers including East Sussex’s Member of the Youth Parliament Solomon Curtis, as well as networking opportunities, with publicity in the Observer newspapers.
If you would like to go to the event you can register for it here.
The Own Grown Awards are in eight categories. This is your chance to blow your own trumpet as a business and an employer, or as an organisation working with young people. You can enter one or more categories. The will also be an overall winner chosen from the eight category winners – sponsored by Sussex Coast College Hastings. And the best business will receive a special award in the Hastings Youth Awards (24th November).
Send your entry to email@example.com by Friday 1st November
