The TravelChoice Challange is back beginning on the 1st  May running up until the 31st May. The TravelChoice Challenge is a great way to try to encourage as many [staff/members/volunteers] as possible to travel to and for work on foot, by bike, by public transport and by car-sharing.

The aim of the Challenge is to try a new way of travelling and to log your journeys on the TravelChoice Challenge website. The more people that take part, the higher our overall participation rate will be, and the higher up the workplace leader board they’ll go!

By taking part and logging your own journeys you’ll also get great feedback on how far you’ve travelled, how much you’ve saved and how many calories you’ve burned. There are loads of rewards such as discounts for local stores, and various weekly prizes to be won simply by taking part. Don’t miss out!!!

The Sussex exchange is a very popular venue for the business community as it hosts meetings, seminars and exhibitions for local and national companies.

The modern and eco-friendly building that the restaurant is in overlooks the local countryside and the food is all locally sourced and freshly prepared in-house as well.

Bag Yourself a Billboard Competition Offers UK Start-ups Major Advertising Opportunity in London’s Tech City

The Bag Yourself a Billboard Competition provides the opportunity for a UK start-up company or small business to win a billboard space in the heart of London’s tech city, to promote their company for two weeks in June 2014. The ad will be designed by a London based creative agency.


Enter the competition to win a tech city London billboard and catapult your business to a huge audience

The Challenge is intended to help uncover original talent and aims to establish one small business as the “UK’s hottest new brand”.

The winner will also benefit from one million ‘ad impressions’. Sage predicts that both the bespoke billboard and online ads will help the winning entrant reach two million potential new customers.

Prospective entrants need to submit a 60 second elevator pitch explaining why their business deserves to win. Each pitch will then be voted on by site visitors and Sage will choose the best “top rated” pitch.

The contest is open to any UK business that is less than five years old with fewer than 50 employees.

Entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.

Video entries must be uploaded by 1 May 2014.

Witches and Wizards were spooking the McPhersons stand at Let’s Do Business on 31st October. The event was a big success with a lot of interest in the ‘Win a Spa Day’ competition and ‘Guess how many skulls in the jar’. Winners announced on McPhersons’ website on 4th November.mcphersonhalloweennews

More importantly, the take up of McPhersons ‘Free limited company set up’ offer was better than ever, hopefully a sign that people are feeling more confident going towards 2014.
