‘As a presenter, I’m in the business of civilised stalking – getting close to interesting and famous people who can’t run away. As a producer, I’m in the business of ego massage, persuasion, simplification and exaggeration – whatever it takes to make the show work.’

The Good:

Being asked to write and deliver an obituary for George Best on Radio’s 4’s Broadcasting House. Scripting and presenting 100 editions of Loose Ends and creating the late night series Bunk Bed with Patrick Marber (which return to radio 4 in 2015).

Nominated as Best Creative Producer in the 2014 Radio Academy production Awards.

The Bad:

Mistakenly telling Blondie legend Debbie Harry during a live show that one of her closest friends had died.

The Ugly;

The hard-graft and hair-raising tales of an independent producer at www.thefoghorn.co.uk

Peter will reveal the art of pitching to commissioners, storytelling to a national audience and talk about how to use podcasting and become an independent audio publisher for both fun and profit.

This event will be taking place at 6pm on 15th January at the Havelock Road Lecture Theatre, Hastings.
