It’s that time of year for the spectacular Hastings Borough Bonfire Society’s procession and fireworks.  The event will take place on Saturday 18th October 2014 starting at 7.15pm with the lighting of the East Hill beacon.

The procession will be starting at the pier this year, travelling along White Rock through Robertson Street and Harold Place, across Breeds Place, Marine Parade, up through the Old Town and the High Street and down All Saints Street and back along the seafront, where the Hastings


bonfire will be lit at 9pm on the beach at Breeds Place.

The Hastings Borough Bonfire Society is a society of volunteers who throughout the year work to raise the £16,000 to put on this free event to commemorate the Battle of Hastings and the traditional gunpowder plot. This is too all coincide with Hastings week which celebrates The Battle of Hastings.

With tens of thousands of people expected on the night this is an event not too be missed it promises an array of fire-breathers and drummers and many other fabulous sites all put together by The Hastings Borough Bonfire Society.
