The Mcphersons Bexhill lunch club has been running for many years and over the past year has been held successfully at the Trattoria Italiana in Bexhill. The lunch club allows local business people to network in a relaxed environment and is known to assist companies in generating new business and consolidating existing business. The lunch club is normally held at the Trattoria Italiana, however, mcphersons were approached by the De La Warr Pavilion recently to run one of the events there.
Says Katrina Smith, marketing manager at mcphersons,‘The aim of the event is to support local businesses so it is important that we utilise different venues, despite the fact that the Trattoria does a great job every time. The De La Warr is in a great location and we are looking forward to their hospitality on 16th September.’
The De La Warr Pavilion is an International Style building constructed in 1935 and designed by the architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff; considered by some to be in an Art Deco style. It boasts unrivalled views over the English Channel.
With any luck the weather will be good enough to have welcome drinks on the terrace before the two course meal is served. A varied menu has been offered for just £15 per head to include Char Grilled Chicken Fillet served with ratatouille, malted Mozzarella Cheese Garlic Flat Bread, or Backed Local Cod Fillet served on a bed of Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Cherry Tomato, Spring Onion and Salsa Verde. If there’s still room after that, attendees can choose from various desserts including Eton mess with raspberry sorbet and chocolate mousse with shortbread fingers.
