Driving Hastings forward 01424 205481

The world of Television is rapidly changing and on Thursday 13th November at 6pm there will be a keynote speech from an industry veteran on the future of TV which is being held at the  Priory Square Lecture Theatre.

Is this the future of TV?

The lecture will be given by Donald Clark who has spent a lifetime in technology, games, film and the mobile industry and was the chief executive officer and one of the original founders of the Brighton-based Epic Group PLC, which established itself as the leading company in the UK online learning market.  He now travels the world sharing and evangelizing about the use of technology and learning.

His talk ‘TV is dying’ will explore the ways in which wearable technology works to process information and how it can change the way we view the world. Donald argues fast emerging technologies such as Oculus Rift and Google Glasses will soon force dated, passive media out of the market.

“TV will be squeezed out of the market by online forces and the fast-emerging wearable technologies such as virtual reality head-mounted displays.”

That’s the view of Donald Clark, who is the first of many keynote speakers of a series of public talks launched by the University of Brighton in Hastings.

Students, staff and the public are invited, however, places are limited and booking is essential

To book please contact  HastingsExchange@brighton.ac.uk
